Sales Executive

London 25K - 30K + Bonus Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an articulate, creative and enthusiastic team player to work at one of London's leading luxury travel trade show organisers, within their sales team. Having previously recruited some epic humans (who are still at the company) for them I can say how great the people at this organisation are. They've seamlessly navigated the pandemic and supported their clients throughout and can confidently say they aren't holding on to suppliers money. It's not THAT trade show, we promise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the recruitment and maintenance of exhibitor registrations for the events portfolio including both virtual and physical events
  • This sales role will also be selling community membership to global luxury hospitality companies, wanting to do business in international markets.

  • Review the current database of exhibitors to prioritise outfits for key account management
  • Work with contracted suppliers and sponsors for business development opportunities
  • Engage with approved exhibitors to identify new potential recommended product (business development) to attend future events and sign up to our community
  • Investigate and build the database of product for participation in future programmes
  • Engage with hotel associations to investigate ways to form and strengthen business relationships and gain more exposure for the clients brands
  • Contribute to the team in identifying new potential opportunities or business partners that will lead to the expansion of the clients portfolio
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the brand's series with the view to feeding information from clients who have identified opportunities to improve our clients events

The Candidate:

This position requires a self-motivated and confident professional who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in achieving and exceeding targets
  • Ability to negotiate with senior industry executives to identify opportunities to enhance the clients brand, in reputation and participation
  • A background in the B2B luxury/mid-market travel environment
  • Experience in consultative selling and objection handling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The candidate will be a self-motivated team player with a determined and mature approach
  • Tradeshow, hotel sales or travel industry sales experience
  • The ability to build rapport with potential and existing customers is vital. Experience within exhibitions would be an advantage.

The Small Print

Salary: Competitive (Will divulge fully over the phone), but £25K - £30K as a general base, happy to discuss more senior roles with talent too (with matching pay).

Location: The candidate would be expected to work both the office in Victoria and at home when needed.

Permanent position. Bonus included (to be discussed with end client)

Additional Perks: Frequent international travel opportunities, social team incentives, attendance to industry leading events and the opportunity to make this role your own.

Team of 3 (sales) and wider team of 12
