Travel Trade Marketing & Community Manager

London (hybrid) up to £44,000 + 20% Bonus Permanent

THE POSITION

Our client is seeking a highly-motivated individual as part of their global sales and marketing team, who'll be responsible for taking care of all of their trade communities, preferred travel partners and their own preferred agency programme, to drive incremental business through their reservation channels and, in particular, the travel trade hub, VIP Desk and GDS.

Our clients brand enjoys an excellent position in the global luxury travel market and this role requires a good understanding of the luxury travel trade landscape and all luxury consortia. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

- You'll have marketing prowess and know how to talk to the trade using content and comms.

- You'll know the who's who of the travel industry and shine being the face of this world renowned brand.

- You won't be afraid of admin and be attention to detail orientated.

THE DAY TO DAY

  • Develop and deliver marketing communications to our travel agent communities worldwide including newsletters, bulletins, blog entries, social media posts and so forth
  • Develop further compelling website content targeted at travel trade and drive traffic and engagement, improve conversion and generate room nights through the agent web site
  • Manage the relationship with all our clients communities and preferred partners such as Virtuoso, Serandipians, Internova SELECT, Signature Travel and American Express 
  • Manage our clients preferred agency programme (hotel and agency side) and strengthen the community and its development
  • Maintain existing, obtain potential and source new preferred partners and partnerships with leisure agencies and corporate travel management companies
  • Create a strong brand awareness among all global consortia (relations), corporate travel companies and leisure agencies
  • Responsible for managing content on the travel trade hub and run the preferred agency programme as well as the net rate programme
  • Increase trade engagement and manage marketing initiatives and campaigns through communications such as updates, promotional- and seasonal offers, travel- and destination journals working closely with our marketing team and content creator
  • Drive calls to the VIP Desk and the reservation executive team through all trade initiatives
  • Develop the travel trade Instagram account and other social channels working with the social media team
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date travel agent data base in Salesforce
  • Tracking and completion of reports and dashboards

Will work closely with the marketing team and sales directors in EMEA, APAC and The Americas (East- & West Coast) and the corporate sales team in New York

YOU'LL BE AWESOME AT THIS JOB IF YOU...

  • Are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and preferably Salesforce, Lanyon and Sabre/SynXis
  • Have basic Adobe Creative Cloud ability and knowledge of CMS editing (website) and Google analytics reporting *this one is more of a nice to have
  • Are highly organised and self-motivated
  • Consider yourself creative and enthusiastic with a willingness to share new ideas
  • Are a team player with a strong ability to self-manage
  • Have a keen interest in all things moving and shaking the travel industry

The Small Print

Monday - Friday and flexible working hours on a hybrid basis, now a 4 days office, 1 day WFH split. You can fit your working hours around your lifestyle and work anytime between 7am and 8pm (e.g 7am - 3:30pm or 9am - 5:30pm). Office space in Victoria, and the role includes some international travel (may include weekends)

Up to £44,000 based on experience

20% bonus

25 days Annual Leave
