Latam + Africa Travel Consultant

London/SW England/Remote £28K + Bonus Permanent

We're incredibly excited to work with this luxury Africa travel outfit, who are now launching a new brand to service their clients needs outside of the continent. A small team of 3 full time staff and 4 part time staff and an industry reputation that preceeds them, this employee owned (yes you read that right, be sure to read to the bottom for more details) agency is hiring for the first time in 3 years via Lightning and we're looking for someone special to join this outfit!

The Person

For this role we're looking for someone who LOVES South America and has travelled the region extensively. We'll be asking for your travel profiles to showcase your travels too! It doesn't have to be luxury, just on the ground experience.

A charismatic natural salesperson, who may have sales experience in another capacity / industry and who's dream job is selling luxury trips. OR  someone with 1 year+ experience in industry selling South America or another destination, but has travelled to the region.

Someone who is also passionate about Africa safaris and would be offered training on this region. Full disclaimer: you'd be THE South America person, but as this region is low volume (for now) we'd want to make sure you're able to sell our big ticket Africa trips too! 

The job role

  • Creating incredible bespoke itineraries for South America for new and existing clients.
  • Communicating with new and existing clients via phone, zoom and face to face, building relationships and closing sales.
  • Understanding, researching and keeping up to date with exciting new properties, experiences and adventures in South America.
  • Working closely with our partners in South America to ensure our clients receive the best level of service and care.
  • Assisting other team members with non sales tasks such as operations, marketing, accounting, events as well as updating website content.
  • Being a big brand ambassador to the industry and helping to grow the new brand presence.

What you need for this job

  • A passion, knowledge and love for South America Travel (and Africa!!).
  • At least 1 year of sales experience ideally (out of industry fine!) 
  • A strong sales person with a clear understanding of the sales process.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • A problem solver, able to adapt and react at short notice ensuring customer care is the most important thing.

Location + Small Print

Ourselves and our client realise that flexibility in this market is key. They have an office in London and in SW England so in an ideal world would love a hybrid setup in either location. However, for the right profile would consider UK based remote (no overseas remote) with occasional office visits for training purposes + team bonding.

Full transparency: the current setup is meeting in London twice a month and once a quarter overnight stay in SW England with team bonding activities.

20 days holiday + bank holidays
