The Role: 

Our client is after an experienced Sales Team Leader to manage the sales team on a day to day basis. Your role would be to lead and direct the Sales Team to achieve consistently high sales figures and obtain excellent records in call quality, sales delivery and customer service.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is able to quickly establish themselves as the daily ‘go to’ person in the Sales Team, sending out target reminders, incentives, holding meetings and training staff along with call and email monitoring. Leading by example, you will also form part of the front line sales team when not performing managerial duties.

Key Role Responsibilities:

  • Strategic and day-to-day leadership of the sales team, ensuring that sales targets are hit or exceeded.
  • Work with the Head of Sales and Operations to designate team and individual targets where necessary.
  • Proactively developing and implementing plans to deliver company, team and personal targets by developing sales strategy, testing new ideas and sharing best practice.
  • Liaise with the Head of Sales and Operations to compile and communicate incentives to encourage upsell and peripheral product sales.
  • Perform regular team sales training sessions to continually improve and develop selling skills and to ensure knowledge of product is kept up-to-date.
  • To arrange, participate in and lead team meetings as required in order to encourage Villa Specialists to learn new sales techniques and achieve planned sales goals.

The Day to Day

  • Be an active and positive sales coach to all team members.
  • Regularly monitor sales calls and emails in order to provide tips and coaching to team members.
  • Consult with the sales team to provide constructive feedback to the product and marketing departments to ensure that our product and the way that we market it is reflecting our clients’ expectations.
  • Achieve and constantly strive to beat monthly incentive sales targets both personally and through team motivation, support and training.
  • Maximise revenue potential by up-selling on all bookings and identify opportunities for additional product sales
  • Control content of the office sales screen and booking system messaging.
  • Assist the Head of Sales and Operations with management of the central inbox, whatsapp platform, lead management tool and telephony system.
  • Report on weekly and monthly sales figures in comparison to previous weeks, years, months and targets.
  • Report on conversion rates per team member.
  • To ensure that all team members are clear on the rules for commission and comply with them.

About you:

Highly motivated and target driven.

Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills

Prioritising, time management and organisational skills

Knowledge of both long-haul & short-haul travel destinations

Energy and enthusiasm - must find the work interesting, enjoy being accountable and willing to hold others accountable

Experience Required:

A proven track record of achieving personal sales targets within a call centre or retail environment and of coaching others to do so.

Previous experience of call and email monitoring and sales coaching experience

Management experience of a team of 6 or more sales staff

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Knowledge of another European language (desired but not essential)

Amadeus / Galileo proficiency (desired but not essential)

The Fine Print

Reporting to: Head of Sales & Operations

Start Date: ASAP

Location: London

Basis: Full time (Monday - Friday with rotational Saturdays during peak) 

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 PA, dependant on experience + bonus.
