Buyer Recruitment Executive

London (HYBRID) Up to £30K Permanent

We have an exciting opportunity for an articulate, creative and enthusiastic team player to work at one of London's leading luxury travel trade show organisers, within their Buyer team. Having previously recruited some epic humans (who are still at the company) for them and having come from the world of Luxury Trade Events we can vouch for how awesome this organisation is but also what an awesome industry it is to be a part of! The Role 

As a Buyer Recruitment Executive you will be tasked with reaching out to the some of the best Luxury Travel Agencies across the globe and securing their attendance for a given event. You will be account managing existing accounts but will also be building relationships with Luxury Travel Agencies that are new to the business an recruit them for a programme of events. 

Core to the role will be building a database of luxury, wellness and adventure travel specialists and to increase their participation in future programmes. 

The Person

You will need to be articulate, well polished and have the ability to build rapport with potential and existing customers. You won't be phased by picking up the phone and promoting the business nor be phased with face to face networking at various trade events. 

Ideally, we are looking for a dynamic, target driven individual with natural charm so that you can promote the brand to senior executives from across the industry. 

Experience in exhibitions would be great, but we're all about talent for this one with the ability to grow into the role! 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment of buyer registrations for the programme of events
  • Review the use of DS and other systems in use to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Prioritise agencies for key account management
  • Work with contracted suppliers to identify and recruit new and highly desirable agents to attend current and future programmes
  • Engage with approved buyers to identify new potential recommended agents to attend future events
  • Investigate and build the database of specialists in luxury, wellness and adventure travel and to increase participation in future programmes
  • Contribute to the wider team in identifying new potential opportunities or business partners that will lead to the expansion of the portfolio
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business with the view to feeding information from clients who have identified opportunities to improve the event
  • Network to the best possible customer standards before, during and after events to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that data returns are received post event and used to drive the business forward
  • Helping the team where necessary in any other duties related to Events


This position requires a self-motivated and confident professional who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in achieving and exceeding targets
  • Ability to use evidence and research to help shape the future direction of networking events
  • Ability to negotiate with senior industry executives to identify opportunities to enhance the brand, in reputation and participation
  • A background in the B2B luxury environment
  • Experience in consultative selling and objection handling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The candidate will be a self-motivated team player with a determined and mature approach
