Chief Travel Stylist

USA (Remote) $100k - $110k + quarterly bonus Permanent

The role...

We're looking for a commercially savvy + highly motivated Chief Stylist to join the journey in leading this $50 million company to be the next travel unicorn. If you know how to develop and cultivate relationships with luxury travellers and your team alike then we want to hear from you. 

You will bring in your current client book, or use the exceptional marketing and tech capabilities to drum up new business. With one current direct report, you will be growing the team around you with 4 hires forecasted in the next 12 months but will very much be jumping in at the thick of it, directly managing clients itineraries and converting enquiries. The person...

This role could suit 2 key profiles...

1) The established independent agent with a book of business who is looking for the stability of a strong base salary and the additional support of sophisticated a marketing engine & tech systems. 

2) An experienced travel professional with a hunger for business development who can leverage the network of potential clients at your fingertips.

You should thrive in an agile, fluid environment with progressive and flexible working formats where your performance is based on what you produce rather than clock watching your hours, you will be motivated to execute to the highest standards.

You should be switched on and not shy to take initiative, an active listener who isn't afraid of asking the right questions. You don't necessarily need to have direct experience building or managing a team if you have the transferable soft skills and the desire to learn and develop with a business at an exciting time of growth.

Given the remote nature of this team, working across US time zones, there is a need for flexibility to align diaries on occasion but your hours are determined by you.

The day to day...

  • Determine what makes a client happy and make recommendations that inspire them to book with us

  • Take full ownership for client experience in the company's bespoke travel product

  • Forecast for, and implement structure and systems as the team and business grows

  • Work with our hotel partners to secure VIP treatment for members

  • Build relationships with new users

  • Design, negotiate and finalise bespoke vacations to amazing destinations

  • Upload booking information into backend systems

  • Develop destination-specific content to demonstrate domain expertise

  • Contribute to custom content geared toward the luxury traveler

  • Research travel trends and build strategies to increase engagement

  • Assist with building the company’s profile with publications, influencers, and associations

  • Proven, quantifiable success building and maintaining a book of repeat business

  • Expert-level knowledge of luxury resort destinations worldwide is critical

  • Existing network of contacts in the industry

Salary: $100k - $110k USD + quarterly bonus
Format: Fully remote within the US to your local preferred office hours
Healthcare: 50% contribution
