The role...

We’re looking for a Junior Content Executive to join the Content Team. With a passion for travel and digital content, you’ll join a welcoming and experienced team that craft the words and storytelling surrounding the destinations, trips and experiences featured across our website.

You should be comfortable managing your own workload, pacing writing tasks with long-lead deadlines as well as turning around quick copy or edits as needed. You enjoy working collaboratively, forging strong relationships within the Marketing team as well as with travel experts across the business.

You’ll be reporting to the Head of Content and working closely with the rest of the Content team, Product Managers and Marketing team. You’ll join a team responsible for updating and maintaining the content on our website. This might include creating new destinations, updating sample itineraries, researching images, editing hotel pages, or distilling extensive background material into succinct summaries for our travellers.

You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in wider content projects including producing articles for our site, and contributing to our print magazine.

The person...

We’re looking for someone detail-oriented, with a keen eye for grammar and style.

The ideal candidate will have around two years’ editorial or content experience. A travel industry background isn’t essential, but you should have a solid understanding of writing and editing for the web, including basic SEO, image research and using a CMS. Experience in the luxury sector is a plus.

Essential:

● Two years’ content, writing or editorial experience

● Experience writing for the web

● Comfortable using a CMS, ideally Wordpress

● Knowledge and understanding of SEO best practices

● Experience using image libraries

● Ability to write and edit accurate, clean copy

● Excellent grammar

● Comfortable working to multiple deadlines

Good to have:

● A strong writing portfolio

● Experience within the travel industry

● Enowledge of the luxury sector

● Familiarity with sustainability initiatives

You’ll have a passion for learning about the world and a keen interest in responsible travel. Being able to work in a team is essential, but it’s also important to work independently, show initiative, and bring new ideas to the table.

Highly organised, you should be able to multitask and prioritise work effectively, communicating regularly with colleagues.
