Patagonia Assistant Sales Manager

REMOTE / North & South America $35k-$50k DOE *depending on location Permanent

The Role: 

Our client is after an Assistant Sales Manager to support the Sales Manager on a day to day basis. You will be looking after a team of 10 passionate Patagonia Sales Specialists located across the UK, US and Latin America, providing assistant managerial support to the UK based Sales Manager. You will be joining a mix of well embedded, experienced players and fresh blood, giving you the chance to put your stamp on the department as it grows and develop your management experience alongside a well-seasoned mentor.

Day to day:

  • Actively being involved in day-to-day sales
  • Responsibility for daily enquiry allocation and ensuring each team member has a manageable work flow at any point in time
  • Support the team through base trouble-shooting, problem-solving and destination related queries
  • Ensure client feedback escalations are resolved effectively and efficiently
  • Provide a closer appreciation of the destination and the team’s challenges to senior management
  • You will be coached into being able to provide 1-2-1's with your team and build your management skill set
  • Providing full department coverage when the Sales Manager is out of office
  • Identify areas in which the team may continually improve and develop selling skills, and to ensure knowledge of product is kept up-to-date.
  • Assist the SM with administrative tasks, team recruitment & onboarding

About you:

  • Highly motivated and target driven.
  • A true passion for the region & sustainable travel as well as personal travel experience of Patagonia
  • Prioritising, time management and organisational skills
  • Team player who enjoys supporting colleagues
  • Natural gravitas and experience of a leader
  • Strong communication skills
  • Adept at working virtually, and ideally have experience of working across multiple
    timezones
  • Comfortable multi-tasking

Experience Required:

  • Successful sales background and strong familiarity with consultative selling, ideally
    within the travel industry
  • Experience looking after a small team is desirable but we'd also love to chat with an experienced sales person ready to take the next step
  • Personal experience & first hand knowledge of Patagonia

The Fine Print

Reporting to: Patagonia Sales Manager

Start Date: ASAP

Location: REMOTE / North or South America

Flexible hours: You will be working with a team across varied locations so your start/finish hours can be adapted as long as they cover an appropriate window

Salary:
South America - $35k - $40k + monthly bonus
Canada/USA - circa $50k + monthly bonus
