This role is integral in the Africa team, with goals as they grow and move forward on the mission to be a world leader in high quality, positive impact travel to the planet’s wild places.

Through dynamic itinerary design, excellent client service and effective sales and negotiation skills this role will drive new and existing business revenue, growing our community and supporting our growth strategy.

Responsibilities...

The role will involve the design and sale of luxury tailor-made travel itineraries, providing the highest levels of client service throughout the entire client journey. You will do this by:

  • Contacting new enquiries (including US agent enquiries) and nurturing relationships with existing clients. This client operates a high touch point service maintaining contact with the end client through their B2B sales.
  • Crafting high quality travel itineraries, individually designed to meet each client’s unique requirements and interests
  • Seeking opportunities to elevate each clients travel experience
  • Applying effective sales techniques to convert enquiries into bookings
  • Being the clients point of contact throughout their journey with us from initial enquiry until they return home
  • Networking with new and existing clients to inspire future travels

Desired Skills & Experience...

  • 1 year or more experience in selling luxury travel to Africa & a passion for travel and conservation
  • Excellent communication skills: an ability to excite others about travel and influence decision making
  • An ability to write creatively and persuasively
  • Great teamwork skills
  • An ability to network
  • Existing strong relationships within the luxury travel industry is desirable but not essential
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office365
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills: able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Experience and knowledge of luxury travel products across southern and East Africa
  • Experience working with travel CRM systems and Amadeus, desirable but not essential

Fully remote (UK)

Truly flexible working format - 37.5 hours a week with the ability to flex start/finish times & duck out for the school run or that lunch time gym session.

Salary: £30k - £40k + commission (OTE £50k - £65k)
