Travel Consultant Latin America (Relocation to Asia)

This luxury owner led agency are a huge name in Asia for their luxury and unforgettable trips to Africa and I have the pleasure of knowing the owners first hand. We are super excited as this agency use a recruiter for the first time to help them find top luxury travel salespeople from the UK/North America + Europe to join their new Latin America arm of the business in their Asia offices.

The company already boast a 25 person global headcount with 13 consultants in USA, South Africa, Australia, Spain, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and they are now excitingly offering the opportunity to relocate to one of their Asia offices in either Bangkok, Manilla, Singapore or Hong Kong.

You'll be joining the team at an exciting period of growth, with the company having just had their first ever global team retreat to align values + build rapport ahead of this next chapter. $50K average trip cost to give you an idea of the realm they play in. 

At this stage, we are only accepting applications from candidates with 4+ years experience selling trips at a luxury travel agency on a B2C basis - this is non negotiable, but we can be flexible on the destinations sold if you have travelled LATAM personally and wish to relocate to Asia.

Working with our clients local partners across Latin America you will be responsible for designing and executing the best travel experiences from our portfolio of products. In addition, you will work closely with our in market and marketing team to seek new client opportunities, with a view of growing your personal client base across all countries where our client is present. Current clients are expats in Asia + Asian community worldwide.

- Engage with a global client base to service their needs and travel plans
- Design and execute innovative, bespoke itineraries based on understanding your client’s needs
- Using our clients systems and resources produce high quality documentation for your clients, to support them in both the booking process and in their travel experiences
- Manage the client relationship from first enquiry through to return and beyond
- Develop a deep understanding of product in order to promote and tailor itineraries to your clients and to maximise the profitability of a trip
- Deliver exceptional customer service to your clients, with prompt, well-articulated support to make their travel experience seamless.
- Be an ambassador for our clients brand(s)
- Support local marketing initiatives such as events and partnerships
- Capture, share and resolve any feedback around product to ensure clients issues are resolved and they continue to evolve their offer.


Perfect, so what are you looking for in your future hire?

- Excellent verbal and written English

- Strong communication skills with the ability to listen and understand your clients’ needs

- A Passion for travel which you can put into your planning 

- On the ground knowledge of the destinations you'll be selling 

- At least 4 years experience selling trips on B2C basis at a luxury travel agency (non negotiable) if you have travelled Latam personally.
- Deliver high levels of attention to detail to ensure clients get the best service
- Proactive in all aspects of the role to ensure you are one step ahead of your clients
- Sales drive and determination to acquire new business
- Demonstrate flexibility to ensure you are meeting the needs of your clients.
- Presentation skills for client meetings and events.
- Commitment to following processes and guidelines with previous Salesforce use advantageous
- Be client-centric in your approach to relationship management
- Be comfortable working independently, as well as enjoying being a supportive member of a team
