Regional Sales Manager: UK & Northern Europe

REMOTE / London £40k - £48k DOE Contract

The owner believes in utilising small explorer vessels in bringing families and friends on travels to the remote Amazon River of Peru, the Mekong River in Southeast Asia, the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, and the pristine coastal waters of Eastern Indonesia.

Venturing into unspoiled sanctuaries to witness the beauty of nature and wildlife, they sail to remote destinations with minimised human interaction, secluded from crowds.

Sounds great – what’s the role in a nutshell?

This position will involve working with the full support of Sales, Marketing and Reservations departments to serve as primary sales responsibility for all trade bookings sourced in the area of UK and Northern Europe. So we’re looking for the well connected self starters amongst you, that know the industry well.

The Person that we’re after?

  • As this is a consultant role on a permanent contract, you’ll need to be willing to set up to run your own ship here.
  • You’ll have a deep understanding of the luxury travel trade and use the clients existing database and help grow the IC side of things, not being afraid to manage your own schedule etc to do so.
  • As well as being a salesperson extraordinaire, you’ll also need to be process and admin driven and ensure your sales are measured within the purchasing chain.
  • Have come from trade sales (supplier/operator) / Business development / representation on a luxury basis.

The R&R’s?

To thrive in this role you’ll need to master sales, sales support and reporting & admin with key tasks including:


  • Assure proper execution of sales strategy and budget
  • Meet with trade clients in the region of responsibility and establish business agreements and sales incentives
  • Conduct all necessary product, destination training for all our products and services to clients in region
  • Arrange trade fair participation, preparation, and conduct all appointments and necessary follow up, as well as maintaining strong ongoing relations with trade

Affiliations and Memberships

  • Negotiate, follow-up and develop all potential Charter contract agreements with clients.
  • Keep an open communication with clients Marketing teams in order to work on joint strategies and actions together with the Inside Sales Team

Sales Support

  • Manage and update trade database, online and offline web trade inquires, based on regional responsibilities through the use of CRM.
  • Manage commissions approvals and / or special discounts, for clients or passengers, based on existing terms and business agreements.
  • Monitor competition and be aware of their market actions, initiatives and promotions to feed marketing team with information.
  • Provide local assistance for trade Fam Trips. In particular in developing itineraries and local partners coordination.
  • Attend to VIP passengers request, coordinate any special attention and arrange when necessary meetings on site.

Reporting and Administrative Functions

  • Monitor and analyse statistics of sales forecasts and monthly results, based on regional responsibility for all destinations, Amazon, Mekong and Indonesia and Galapagos.
  • Monitor and manage Top Producer production and performance on a monthly basis.
  • Become proficient in the use of current reservation software (Resco) for checking availability and pulling out reports
  • Prepare and analyse monthly sales reports for Director of Sales.

The Training:

You’ll be provided full training over in Lima, Peru on both reservations and CRM systems to ensure you’re able to thrive in the position.

The Small Print:

  • Salary: £40K - £48K on a consultant contract (inc holiday etc on agreement)
  • This is a remote role which requires frequent travel to London
  • 3 stage interview process inc online assessment
  • Mon-Fri 9-6 with travel regionally and internationally and occasional weekend work when clients are on trips
  • Reporting to: Global DOS
