NYC $100K-$110K + bonus Permanent
Our client is looking for a lucky, exceptional remote travel designer to join them and one of the most NDA-centric clients lists in travel. No, like seriously, household names. So we're looking for those cool as a cucumber types who are unflappable, immaculately presented and who can charm the pants off an A-lister.
Our client isn't just about it's enviable client list though. They're also a membership based agency with a focus on all things luxury, experiential and tailor made. They plan extraordinary experiences, journeys, and events for our global community of members who celebrate the diversity of the world.
With their head office in New York, they work with experts on the ground in destinations across the globe. Their immersive experiences showcase cultures, traditions, crafts, and natural environments, delivering rare travel moments.
The Role
The Senior Travel Designer is a key role on the company’s Travel team; you will challenge standard marks of luxury, planning travel in a modern, sophisticated way. Our clients Travel Designers provide personalized planning and tailor itineraries according to their members’ preferences, unlocking access to coveted accommodations, dining experiences, events and more.
A day in the life of a Travel Designer is dynamic and varied, encompassing everything from availability checks, and liaising with members to leading the creative conception of one-of-a-kind experiences, identifying undiscovered or underestimated destinations, and vetting new hotels and experiences.
The Person
You will need to have a high level of specification re navigating the world ideally with good global destination knowledge. To suit the our clients brand, you will need to know about, or be able to speak about niche “hole in the wall” boutique hotels that come with a story of history or culture. Simply knowing your Rosewood's from your Shangri-La's won't be enough for this one!
The ideal candidate will be both creatively articulate and creative with their writing skills - this will be seen as a MASSIVE bonus as you will paint the dream scenario for your clients, bringing current travel trends documented in recent publications to life. You're not just booking a trip, you'll need to add flare and let your bespoke, personally curated itinerary tell a story.
You will need to be extremely well travelled and experienced in putting together numerous trips, so if you have experience in a similar role for a high end tour operator, you just might be a perfect fit for this role!
